Mark Boccuzzi
Mark Boccuzzi is a research scientist, lecturer, and innovator working at the intersection of science, technology, education, and interactive visual arts. For more than a decade, he has applied these disciplines to the study of the survival of consciousness and psi (telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, and mind-matter interactions).
Mark is the author of the book Visualizing Intention: Art informed by science.
Based in Tucson, AZ, USA, Mark is lead developer at The Windbridge Institute, LLC. which he co-founded in 2008 with his wife and research partner, Julie Beischel, PhD. He is also the executive director of the Windbridge Research Center (www.windbridge.org), a non-profit organization funded in 2017, which is dedicated to the study of dying, death, and what comes next. Mark is currently the managing editor of the open access, free, peer-reviewed journal Threshold: Journal of Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies (TJICS).
In 2005, he successfully completed the Summer Study Program in Parapsychology presented by the Rhine Research Center. He is a full member of both the Parapsychological Association and the Society for Scientific Exploration.
He has published peer-reviewed journal articles on topics including instrumental transcommunication (ITC) and mental and physical mediumship and presented his research nationally on field investigations of allegedly haunted locations, photographic anomalies, ITC, non-human animal psi, psychokinesis, intentional datasets, and applied precognition at conferences and scientific meetings. Much of his current work applies virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), deep machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) to ITC and applied psi research.
In October 2019 Mark launched the Parapsychology and Psi Hacking Project, a local and online community effort to connect makers, artists, tech hackers, citizen scientists, seekers, entrepreneurs, and the general public to the ever-expanding body of parapsychological research in an effort to encourage the development of new tools, technologies, and experiences.
