Introduction To Parapsychology
with Dr. Nancy L. Zingrone

zingrone032013This 8 week online introduction to parapsychology will include seven (7) classes by Dr. Nancy Zingrone, and a guest lecture by a prominent parapsychologist. Classes will begin on Monday, April 29th and continue until Monday June 17th. Classes will be broadcast each Monday (except Memorial Day) from 6:30pm – 8pm Eastern Time, but the courses will also be recorded so that you can view them when it is most convenient for you.

In this introductory online course, Dr. Nancy Zingrone will present a series of seven (7) online classes to introduce students to the basics of parapsychology; the scientific study of paranormal experiences. This interesting course will use case studies and experiments to explore extrasensory perception (ESP), psychokinesis (mind over matter), near death and out of body experiences, apparitions (including ghosts), and modern research in parapsychology. Students taking this course will gain a deeper understanding of subjective paranormal experiences and the nature of consciousness, and learn that there are a variety of ways to explore these fascinating experiences.

This is an academic course designed to provide professional education in the field of parapsychology. Students will be required to participate in weekly online discussion forums with other students and they will be evaluated on their progress in the course. Each student will receive a letter grade for the course which may qualify them for a certificate of completion from the Rhine Education Center.


Dates: Monday, April 29 – Monday, June 17 (except Memorial Day);   One class per week.
Time:  Monday evenings; 6:30pm – 8:00pm Eastern Time; or watch the recorded classes anytime
Where: Online Course available from your PC
Prerequisites: None required for this introductory course
Tuition:  $199 ($179 for Rhine members or students enrolled in a degree program)

All applications must be received by Friday, April 26th.

Investigating Apparitions, Hauntings, and Poltergeists

auerbachIn a rare opportunity, the Rhine Research Center, in coordination with famous paranormal investigator Loyd Auerbach, presents a professional course in the investigation of apparitions, hauntings, and poltergeists.  This course is designed for the novice and the experts in field investigations, and it will provide an in-depth study of the techniques used by professional parapsychologists when studying paranormal phenomena outside of the laboratory environment. 

This introduction to field investigations is focused on the research techniques used by parapsychologists who study apparitions, hauntings, and poltergeists.  It includes the basic concepts involved in field investigations, an introduction to the skills needed to perform a scientific examination of these phenomena, and ethical issues associated with such investigations.  This course combines scientific methodology and intuitive techniques to provide a well-rounded approach to paranormal investigations.

Students passing the course will receive a certificate signed by Loyd Auerbach and will be entitled to be added to the network of investigators for Loyd Auerbach and the Office of Paranormal Investigators,

This four week adult education course will focus on the fascinating topic of Dreams and ESP. Each week will include a live class broadcast, some suggested readings or videos, a discussion forum on the topic of the week, and a dream/ESP project for those who wish to take part. Topics will include: dreams and ESP throughout history; the famous Dream Telepathy experiments conducted in the 1960s and 1970s; the very interesting connection between precognition (seeing the future) and dreams; and how modern day researchers investigate seemingly psychic dreams.
